Congratulations to our Millionaire for a Day writing contest - Ariel from 301. All students in grade 3 thru 5 wrote an essay responding to the prompt "What would you do if you were a millionaire for a day?". The prize was a limo ride to school, donuts and orange juice with your class and $300. Thank you to our partners at Citi for sponsoring this contest.
Thank you to our friends at Citi! The Laura B. Anderson community has been greatly impacted over the years through the partnership with Citi and its gracious employees. Students have benefitted from the annual financial literacy instruction, donation of books, and the opportunity to compete in a writing challenge for an award. The excitement on their faces when they have guests speak to them is evident in each classroom at every grade level. We look forward to continuing this partnership for years to come!
The SFSD and the SFSD Community Learning Centers are teaming up to bring listening sessions right to your neighborhood! These sessions are designed to gather valuable insight from our community regarding the tools and support our schools provide to students for future planning, particularly focusing on College and Career Readiness.
What to expect:
• Sharing thoughts and ideas on how our school can better support students and families in their journey towards making choices for their future.
• Learn about resources already available to students.
• Engage in open discussions to address any concerns or suggestions our community may have.
